Yoga Birthday

Our yoga instructor at Yoga Union, Lou, is turning 31. Happy birthday! (Note: I haven't attempted any of these poses. Maybe next class...)

Smokey Dokey

Here's another piece for the Portland Mercury, about the tobacco industry in Oregon, roughly paraphrased. This was really fun to draw. Pascal was relatively well-behaved during the creative process i.e. camped out on my lap as I brandished my tablet pen.

Thanks Justin!

Facebook Friends Part One

I'm attempting to draw everyone I am friends with via the popular social networking site, Facebook.  Perhaps I am corny and un-profound.

Hey Hey

It's my birthday today. I got up at 5am and made some funny self portraits. I have been thinking alot about Margaret Kilgallen, who is one of my favorite artists. She lived in the Mission in San Francisco and played the banjo and wrote on trains and painted funny ladies and pretty leaves. She died of breast cancer three weeks after her daughter was born in 2001. I have wanted to do a portrait of her for awhile, and am really happy with this piece.

More Skateboard Action

I spent way too much time on this. I am kinda over this thing. It still isn't totally amazing.

On the neater side, I am working on another design for the same client and have some other stuff to post tomorrow.
